System overview
This application will allow students to enter any location that they live in, and instantly be provided with information about recycling pick up and recycling centers near them. In the end students will be rewarded with points, given based on the items they recycle, that can be exchanged for discounts from different retailers on and around campus.
why?
While recycling continues to be pushed in the dorms and on-campus living, it remains a huge problem when getting to continue to recycle when they are located off campus. A lot of this lack of recycling can be attributed to the lack of information and ease of ways to recycle. This application will provide the information needed for off campus students to recycle, while encouraging the university as a whole to recycle.
